Screws for cabinet install
What are the best screws to use to install 1/2" plywood backed cabinets? Also, what screws are best for connecting the face frames?
Thanks, Eric |

Screws for cabinet install
Ebie,
Screws for fastening cabinets to the walls: http://www.woodcraft.com/PRODUCT/202...FQuynQod13gAJA For fastening faceframe to faceframe: http://www.woodcraft.com/product/202...-500piece.aspx Faceframes should still be predrilled even though the screws are self drillers. Drill the skinnier hole through the first faceframe and into the second. Drill a bigger hole just through the first faceframe so screw slides through it and bites into the second. I also use a countersink bit to make a slight bevel so the screw head ends up just below flush with the faceframe edge. I also drill a pilot hole just a tag larger than the screws used to fasten the cabinets to the wall. Mike Hawkins
