Saniflo macerator, toilet, sink, tub install in basement

I am beginning to install a bathroom in the basement and have questions.
1. DIY instructions on the Internet are insistent that all fixtures be on the same level. Since Saniflo recommends the tub be on 2X8's I assume the entire bathroom floor under all the fixtures would be raised an equal amount. Is my assumption correct?

2. Connecting the discharge pipe from the macerator to the soil stack Saniflo says to use a "Y" connection. OK. Which way does the angled arm of the "Y" connection go...angling up or angling down. Sounds like a common sense question to me but, I really do not know.
