Remove gold finish from faucets

How can I remove gold finish from faucets without removing faucet from sinks

Not going to happen, if your trying to change the color then it's time for new faucets.

Yeah, you could sand it off, but what you'll likely do then is expose the base metal which will corrode in a heartbeat, leaving you with one big mess.

They are probably metal plated and not finished with a paint product. Replace them with what you want and see if you can sell them on CL or eBay if they are nice and you just do not like them.
