Remove and close off old stove hood venting
HELP ~~~~
I am remodeling my kitchen and the layout is totally different. I do not need the hood venting. It is in the way of sheetrocking the ceiling. How do I close it off properly and get it out of the kitchen? The attic is above the kitchen. Is there a cap to close it off or do I need to go further? The exposed venting is a couple inches below the ceiling line so I do need to cut it or something. I don't want to have problems down the road. I will be installing cabinets in this area. Any tips or tricks to doing this efficently and economically would be appreciated! Jayne Ann |
Go up into the attic---Remove the old duct work and cap off the vent as it exits the house---
Take a picture up in the attic of you can't figure out a safe way to do that.--Mike--- |
