I'm in the middle of remodeling our bathroom (see 40 sq.ft bathroom remodel thread in the project showcase). After gutting the room, I found the exhaust fan had not been plumbed, and was just venting into the fiberglass batting. It's just a crawlspace attic above, with a direct shot to the middle of the roof above. Would my best bet just be to run the venting straight up through the roof? I know most don't recommend a soffit vent because of moisture being pulled back into the home, but I also read that some contractors don't like to puncture the roof for vents when they don't have to. Any suggestions?
