Range hood installation

THE REPLACEMENT RANGE HOOD IS ABOUT 1/2" LOWER THAN THE PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED HOOD. LOWERING THE IN WALL VENT WILL REQUIRE MAJOR RENOVATION. IS THERE AN ADAPTER TO ADJUST THE HEIGHT ON THE HOOD FLANGE?

Range hood installation

Not that I am aware of. But a simple piece of trim, stained and finished to match cabinets, can cover the small gap.
