Question

Push button flush WC - how do I get the lid off?

I have a push button flush on my Loo. The cistern is constantly flowing into the pan (not just when you flush). 2 problems - 1 -Cant get the lid off ... 2- what then?

If it is a twin button flush try gently prising the buttons out, there is usually a screw underneath the buttons that hold the cistern lid down.
If it is a single button try turning the whole button housing anti clock wise as it is usually screwed into the top of the flush valve to hold the cistern lid down.

Once inside you will probably find the float valve to be at fault but without more information it is hard to give any advice on this, as there are several different designs
