Perma Base installation

Hi

I am rebuilding my shower due to a leak which wound up causing a lot of mold buildup. We are installing Perma Base instead of the green board that was there initally. The shower will be tiled on the walls and floor. Someone at Home Depot told us we do not need to use moisture barrier behind it. Can someone tell me if this is true?

I'm not saying no one at HD knows what they are talking about. But you never really know if you found one of the few knowledgeable ones or not.

Personally, I wanna hear the same piece of advice from at least three different sources before I believe it.

Here's a good place to start: You can believe Bud.
