need help finding Kitchen designer

I want to remodel my kitchen. It is an open area with my living room at the other end. I want to know who I would talk to in order to come up with some kind of design plan. The shape of my kitchen area has some difficult storage problems that i can't solve. I would then like to source out cabinets, flooring, and all that myself. Who is that person? I hope this makes sense.

well a kitchen and bath designer that's is willing to let you choose materials

understand under those conditions they will want to be held harmless if you have any problems or delays

You may find that an architect, interior designer or kitchen and bath designer will have the greatest access to a variety of materials and that you will come out the same or cheaper with the discounts they can get.

best bet is to go to the site of the (NKBA) National Kitchen and Bath Association. They will give you the list of certified designers for your area.
