Hi, this is my first post here.

I'm starting to plan out a renovation to my tub surround. There is some damage, so I want to gut it out and do it right.

I will be removing the sliding door and also that acrylic trim from the corner and the tub ledge. I'm going to retile the surround, and I was wondering how to make a ledge across the front.

If I remove that corner trim on the drywall is it possible to tile flush from that corner across the front of the tub to the opposite wall (not pictured, tub meets it perpendicular) to create a ledge? how would I go about building the framing for the tile surface? Would I use cement backer board like we do for surrounds?

Thanks for the feedback.

This will be my first bathroom project. I did a tile floor once and I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to this.

Fixn it, thanks for responding.

How do you bond the pavers to the tub? How should I go about getting everything flush with the drywall corner?
