Laminated Kitchen Counter Top damaged
I have a relatively new laminated kitchen counter top that had some rather larger grooves that removed the base coat paint (and lustrous top layer, guess some sort of clear coat). I tried to use some touch paint to hide such white grooves/scratches having poor overall results: when the ambient does not have much light it looks good, but if there is incident light and the surface of the counter top act as a reflective surface showing on its reflective qualities the gritting differences are very clear and it looks horrible.
As can be seen from the photo the counter top does not have a uniform color, but more like a pattern. I heard about some kits used to fix damage to laminated counter tops. Would such kits render good results, would they be appropriate for such situation? I hope there is better way to fix such damage. Any insight would be appreciated.
That looks pretty rough. I don't think anything will completely hide that.
