kitchen remodel

before and after!

I want to add a raised breakfast bar and debating on how to do it.

Drew up some sketches, that might work for breakfast bar.

Got the cabinets used, sanded and refinished using a richer color stain.
Bought the countertops stocked variety.

Sink from repurpose store.

cost is about $800 still no floor. I figure about $2.60 per foot with vapor barrier. I am thinking wood laminate or vinyl. Since the room ties into the family room and we want to open up the family room to lv room and dining room...it will be about 2k if we go that route.

ideas for breakfast bar? how to attach? i read about 12 inches overhang.

kitchen remodel

a pantry is being built on the left side of refrigerator. I will put some shelves on the right side of cabinets. and a beam across the end to finish look.

Not a big fan of drywall, so the rest of the room will wait.

I am on a tight budget. So we make do..do our best...and put more elbow grease into it...lucky for us rehab and old is in

There's no such thing as "wood lamintate" , it's not real wood and will be distroyed by any water on it, just a bad choice for any kitchen, bathroom, laundry room.
Not seeing any sketches just pictures of what I guess is your kitchen.
What's wrong with what's there now?

not sure if it will work...a simple pencil sketch.

kinda confused what to do with backsplash and breakfast bar. I may have to move that outlet too. Didn't think that far ahead...

No place to eat, have you ever built a breakfast bar?

And about the flooring....laminate planks are not good for the kitchen?

What about vinyl planks that look like wood grain? The spec sheet says water resistant and 25 years on wear.
