Kitchen Remod Question

Hi All,

Looking at painting my kitchen cabinets, very dark and gloomy. Have done all my HW and am ready to undertake the task...

My question is this.....At the ends of the cabinet walls (2 areas facing out), is a faux sticker type wood that matches the cabinet. Should I peel these off then paint of just paint right over them?

Thx in advance.

Kitchen Remod Question

Go to home depot, they sell a small wood veneer panel or a white bead board which looks great painted. Use construction glue like liquid nails to attach it.

Kitchen Remod Question

Does this "veneer" really "peel off", like contact paper? Or is it a vinyl laminate on MDF or something. If it doesn't really peel off, I suggest you use a OIL BASED PRIMER before painting, if you do paint. I used Kilz OIL BASED on an entire mobile home. Tried other products, but this works miracles when it comes to making paint stick to vinyle. Do NOT use water based primers. They don't stick...PERIOD.

I believe it is a sticker of some sorts as it has air few bubbles in it. I definitely like this idea!!!
