Keep or replace cabinet hinges?

Planning on repainting the cabinets. Currently have European hinges. I have a problem with the few of the doors closing so I'm wondering does it make sense to replace the hinges or just keep the existing ones which are 18 years old?

The voices in my head are staying stop being cheap and buy new, your already saving a bundle by painting the cabs, but the cheapskate in me is saying if you can reuse them why not.

Expert opinions, do you concur?(always wanted to use that word in a sentance)

Thanks

I'd try adjusting them first, before giving up on them. However, if they won't adjust or are worn out/loosening up, then consider changing. MHO....

Most Euro hinges have a 'self-closing' feature which can fail over time. At a certain point in the closing process, they should 'snap' shut. If yours do not do that, replace them.
