install kitchen island Kraftmaid cabinets

What are the instructions for:
1. Connecting the base units to each other
2. Securing the island to ceramic tile floor; and is this necessary since the countertop will be granite (very heavy)
3. Attaching decorative end panels

Thanks so much!
Lisa

The units will get screwed together through the face frames and bolts through the bases.

If the Tile is not in you could shim the entire island on a piece of plywood and screw to that.

If it is I would drill through the tile and screw a wood L bracket through to the subfloor and then screw your bases to the L bracket.

Decorative end panels get attached by screwing from inside the box of the cabinet into the back of the panel, effectively "pulling" the panel tight to the cabinet. Be sure and use the correct length screw and avoid over-driving and blowing out the face of the panel.
