How to remove cement from old tiles

I have just removed 50+ year-old tiles from a bathroom wall, and would like to re-use some of them. How do I remove the cement from the backs of the tiles? I've tried chipping away, but this could take forever, and I'm breaking tiles in the process.

How to remove cement from old tiles

I'm not sure this is possible to do. The only way i can think of that might work would be an angle grinder with concrete blade on it. It's going to take a long time and be really dusty. Better grab a snickers.

I agree. No shortcuts.
