How to remove 3 inch shower magnet from metal door frame

Hey DIY people!

I'm having a tough time getting this shower door magnet that is wedged into the frame out. Should I just get some pliars and yank it out or should I unscrew the frame? I really don't want to have to do that and mess anything up. Please take a look at the photo attached.

THANKS!!!!!

Another photo done with an electron microscope!

What the heck is that?

I have never seen any kind of a magnet with a shower door, I'm going to learn something new maybe.

I think this is the actual 3 inch magnet assembly in the door frame. It looks like I should just pry it out, I don't think it has screws, but its so rusty I can't tell.

Is this what you have?

I'd be willing to bet that one way or another it's screwed in.

Maybe clean it up with a wire brush to see if you can expose the hardware. It is possible its screwed in from behind, but this picture I posted appears it's screwed through the face.

It is the one without screws, I was able to scrape off a lot of rust to see. For some reason the image isn't showing on their website at the moment, but I think its this one:

If that's it, it looks to me like it has clips that you would need to rotate it to disengage it.

Hard to tell from the picture, though, Maybe the clips are bent into place through slots in the frame...

Yeah its really on there, I'm going to try to get a needle nose pliars to it and twist it out. I was told by the guy I bought the part from it may be siliconed on which would be tough to remove without heat, which I only have a hair dryer for.
