how to reduce splash for roman shower (wall vs ceiling shower head)

I'm trying to plan out a roman shower and since I'm low on space I need to reduce the splash. So the question is, what are some good ways?

My main question at the moment is which is better for reducing splash (distance), ceiling or wall mounted shower heads? I'm thinking ceiling would be better since it's just falling where and has no lateral energy whereas a wall mounted shower head would have lateral energy in the direction of where my shower opening would be and therefore be more prone to spray.

thoughts?
