Some may remember me finishing my basement a year or so back. I searched the forum, but didn't see my question. How often should grout sealer be applied? It's been done about a year now and all looks fine, but I don't want to have something go south when I could have prevented it. Thanks
I can't imagine there being an answer to that. If you scrub the tiles with abrasive powder every week, you'll need to reseal it much more often than if you clean once a month with something non-abrasive. When sponge cleaning monthly with one cup of bleach in one gallon of water no longer prevents black mold on the grout, then reseal after you remove the mold. But that's just my arbitrary guideline that I don't even follow.
