Question

How Is This Affixed?

New house purchase -- master bathroom has brass handle on the glass shower door. Any idea how it's affixed? And how I would go about changing it without destroying the door?

That round brass piece on the back side unscrews.
Lefty loosey.
Have you found one to replace it with?

That inside piece is a nut the handle is a screw---usually--

Look at the bottom of the nut--there should be a hole that will accept an Allen wrench--stuck it in the hole and use the wrench as a lever.

Replacement handle is no problem, but replacing the brass hinges is going to be a different story. They appear to be less common than others out there...

Have you considered having them replated?

If you are having trouble locating a plating service ---call or stop into a motorcycle shop---ask who they use----

One very important point....

Your glass is tempered.....if you nick it bad enough.....you will end up with a nice pile of small glass pieces....those doors have the holes pre-drilled before it's tempered. Once it's tempered....no holes.
