Never done it myself, but I seem to recall seeing adhesives made for mirrors at the apron stores.

Hi there getitrightheft "mirror mastic" is the stuff you'll be needing. Mirror mastic is an adhesive that is designed for mirrors. Some types can attach mirrors to a variety of surfaces, like concrete, wood, paint, and metal. Something to keep in mind though is that some types of mastic are actually specific to types of mirrors, such as plate or acrylic glass.

Application is fairly simple as well.
  • make sure surface you're adhering mirror to is clean and dust free
  • depending on mastic intructions apply mastic to wall and/or mirror surface
  • after applying mastic get mirror into desired location
  • while mastic sets you will need to secure mirror to wall using some method
  • after required set time remove temporary securing solution. Clean up and enjoy your new mirror.

Something I've learned is make sure you understand your mounting situation. As I stated above different mastics exist for different mirrors and mounting surfaces. So make sure you double check and get it right the first time. Hope this helps.
Cheers,

DO NOT USE SILICONE on the back of a mirror. It will eat away at the back of the mirror and over time it will ruin it. I had to replace 5 mirrors on a job that was 5 years old due to the Millwork contractor who made the framed mirrors used silicone.

As said above use mirror mastic.
