Granite Vanity Attachment

Just purchased a decent granite vanity top, didn't come with any attachment clips or the like.
Am I safe in assuming that a bead of silicone caulking around the perimeter of the vanity, and the substantial weight of the granite will keep it in place,or should I be looking for fasteners, hardware and cement for it?
Thanks in advance for useful responses.

Granite Vanity Attachment

I had granite counters professionally installed back in September, they used no clips or fasteners to hold it down - just adhesive/silicone (I didn't pay attention to what exactly they had loaded into the caulk-gun).
