Should the first row of tiles rest on the pan? If not, how far above the pan should the tiles be set?
Also, for the most part, the Durock sticks out a tad, but there is one corner (about 2 inches in length) where the pan lip sticks out a little. Will this be a problem when tiling? Or will adding a little more thinset correct this issue?
Lastly, in the picture below, how will I tile near the corner of the front of the pan? It seems like a gap will be visible once I set that particular corner tile. The plan is to place a full size tile along the corner of the front pan, and then add a bull nose tile to finish it off.
