Fixing kitchen cabinets where the hinge won't completely close the door
I'm living in an apartment that was built in the late 1980s and the kitchen has never been remodeled. We'd like to make a few small improvements around the kitchen including fixing several of the cabinets which have a REALLY annoying problem of not being able to close completely. Included below are a couple of photos of what the cabinet looks like when we try to completely close it and then an inside shot of the hinge mechanism (which I assume is the culprit).
Would love any advice on how to either adjust the hinge so it functions properly or tips about new hinges to buy as a replacement.
This video is very helpful but it doesn't address my specific problem of the door actually not shutting all the way. Literally there are about 2" between the cabinet frame and the door. Maybe I'm just being stupid but I tried adjusting each of the screws per the video and could not get the door to successfully close all of the way (double checked and there is definitely nothing blocking it from closing).
