drawyer slides

I measured for new drawyer slides for our kitchen drawyers. They measure 20 inches. Can I put in 22 inch,....and if so, would it make a difference, or should I stick with exact length?

Sounds like the longer drawer slides should be fine. Just let the drawers stick out in the front a bit.
