Crack in grout near the ceiling......a more serious issue?
I'm trying to figure out if I should worry about this or if might be typical (or even acceptable).
This bathroom was gutted and had a corner shower put in with a vinyl pan. These pictures are of the ceiling area. 1/2" Hardie is behind the tile. Flexabond thinset was used. Redguard was used in the shower area, starting 12in from the ceiling.
Only things I can think of is the temperature. It's upstairs and not currently being used, so it stays in the 60* range, or less. The other is that the right corner wall is against a chimney, but it doesn't get hot, plus there is an air space between the chimney and Hardie from the furring strips.
I can live it that for now, I'm just hoping it's not a more serious issue. Should this be re-grouted? I have caulking that matches the grout. Should that be used? Thanks.
