Countersink size?

I need to countersink a long screw in one of my door jambs that seems to have pulled too tight with the expansion due to the weather warming up. What is an average size screw head?
#6
#8
#10

I'm using the common screw you find at home depot that is about 3.5" long and is coated for outdoor use, forget the brand. Doesn't say the head size on it anywhere. Anyone know what # this common screw head is?

I'm debating on buying the pack with all 3, or just get the 1 that I will need:

if your using a 3 1/2 " screws more than likely their #10's with the longer shank you need a larger head to provide more holding power
