cleaning up oak kitchen cabinets

I have Merillat Oak cabinets in my kitchen. They need a good cleaning; but I am afraid to use something too harsh. Any suggestions??

Simple Green, most of the common kitchen cleaners. Sponge or rag, no scotchbrite or steel wool.
