Butchers block mould

I have a butchers block type work surface around a belfast sink. There appears to be some black mould? on the block how can I get rid of this and re-seal. Any recommended products.
Thanks

Butchers block mould

You should probably get some expert advice. Mold can be extremely harmful. I would actually consider replacing the butcher block with something more suitable for use around moisture. I would immediately try to kill the mold with chlorine bleach. My feeling is even is you kill the mold & then seal with polyurethane, the problem is going to come back again.
