building a bathtub


how can i build a bathtub with a curved bottom and rounded top edges? i know you have to use backer board and thinset and then out your tile on it.

Hand made bath tub are usually concrete---sculpted over a mesh frame---then waterproofed with Hydroban (a Latacrete product)

Tile can be set directly on the hydroban---

To learn the technique Google--concrete boat building.---the drain will be you biggest hurtle.

Why would you want to do this without any skill set?
