Everyone in my family is tall. I have been at other friends houses where they have taller cabinets. I loved it..We are installing the cabinets on our own. My husband if very handy but has never installed cabinets on the wall. We installed our island on our own. That is much easier.

Danny's suggestion of a platform will work fine. It even gives you the opportunity to level the platform on the floor instead of leveling each base cabinet individually.
