Bathroom venting duct size

Hello:
My bathroom is really small, 8' long x 6' wide with 8' celings. I want to install an exhasut fan with about a 4' duct run. Does it make much of a difference if it is a 4" or 6" duct. Two Broan fans I was looking at have the choice for 4" and 6".

Also, any recommendations of exhasut fan brands? I heard panasonic was a good brand to get but wanted some real experience opinions. I have never had an exhaust fan before...

Thanks!

Either way your good if you have the room for a 6" fan. The more quiet they are, the more expensive the can be. Look for the "sone" rating. A sone of 1 is more quiet than a sone of 3. CFM is also a consideration, the higher that is, the more air replaced.
