Zurn Pex install tools & non Zurn fittings

ToolMonger Newbie   Join Date: Mar 2011 Location: Pennsylvania Posts: 5	Zurn Pex install tools & non Zurn fittings Hi , I own a set of the Zurn crimp tools for use with Pex tubing & Zurn fittings—my question is, can these tools be used with non Zurn Pex fittings? Has anyone had any issues related to the Zurn installation tools and non Zurn fittings? Any insight would be helpful. Thanks ToolMonger

secutanudu Just call me Andrew   Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: Albany, NY Posts: 2,236	Zurn Pex install tools & non Zurn fittings I just did a heating zone in my basement with the zurn tool, zurn rings, but non-zurn fittings and tubing. Worked fine.... I used Wisbro HePex tubing, not sure the manufacturer of the fittings. __________________ Andrew

plumber666 Plumb or Die!   Join Date: Oct 2010 Location: BC, Canada Posts: 321	Zurn Pex install tools & non Zurn fittings All PEX pipe, fittings and crimp rings are (theoretically) manufactured to the same specs and standards. Jusy like how all copper fittings work with all copper pipe.
