do you have the trim?? If yes - did you see any brand identification on the handle or trim plates?? Can you take pics of the trim and post them?? There are soooooo many look alike imports that it is so hard to guess brands without actually seeing a brand name.

If you don't have the trim - It would cost you more in time and materials to buy the trim and the valve - why not just change the shower body??

good luck!!

873 might be the model #. ASSE is the American Society of Safety Engineers and 1016 is the standard for anti-scald control and type P is the specific method of anti-scald. A Google search of that model brings up Pegasus which is sold by Home Depot. Have you taken your cartridge there to try and match it up?

Kun, you have asked several questions regarding this plumbing issue why don't you save yourself and us a lot of aggravation and just rip the wall out and install a new complete diverter you will be glad you did I am sure.

Just cut out a square access hole behind it like 18 x 18" get in there do what you have to do and install an access door over the hole in case this happens again.

I know you have to solder and you can't, just find someone to help you.

Install a Delta product they are easy to rebuild if leaks occur down the line.
