WHES40 Water Softener Water Meter

The water softener has been working perfectly for about 3 years, now all of a sudden I have hard water. The water meter does not register water flow when a faucet is opened, so I'm assuming that the softener does not regen because it thinks there is no water usage. So my question is, what would cause the water meter not to register water usage? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Are you talking about the city water metor or one on the softner?
Going to have to let us know what type water sofner you have.
You really should just be checking in the companys website under trouble shooting.

The water meter on the water softener. I thought the model number in the title gave the info, but it is a whirlpool 40,000 grain softener. Already. checked whirlpools site, no info on this issue
