where to find plastic arm for toilet float ball


my plastic arm to the float ball broke. i can't seem to find one short enough. i think it's about 4 inches. would i have to buy the whole thing?

Or make one from coat hanger wire or wood. It depends on how much your time is worth. If round trip time to fetch the part is one hour, I'd probably make the part, but to me almost any other activity is better than standing in traffic.

just buy a new fluidmaster 400a under 10 bucks.

I agree with Plumber Jim. The Fluidmaster 400A is under $10 and has easy to follow instructions. It will eliminate the ball also.
