Question Where can I find a toilet/closet flange in Orlando, FL?

Hi - I live in Orlando - and I am in need of a new toilet/closet flange. The problem is I can't find one!! I've looked at my fall back stores - HopeDepot, Lowes, ACE, TrueValue...and haven't had a pinch of luck. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance...Di

Thats crazy - I cannot beleive that you can't find a closet flange at ANY of those places. Every Home Depot and Lowes near me has them, not to mention Aubuchan hardware and true value. Maybe you aren't asking the right people? Maybe try calling it a toilet flange?

and you are absolutely right to call it that. BUT, NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE, but sometimes the people that work at those Big box stores only know one name. For instance, I was in home depot looking to buy a recipricating saw. They were in a locked cage. I went to an employee and said "i'm interested in purchasing a recipricating saw from a locked cage" he said "a what saw". I said "um, a sawzall". He said "oh, no problem, let me call the guy with the keys".

I've got a better one,
I was at HD once, standing in line to pay for purchases and I noticed one of the employees (who had apparently just gotten off the phone with a "customer") asking another employee what kind of hammer should she recommend to use with liquid nails.
I had to try really hard not to laugh out loud.
I'm not making this story up either for those that are thinking,. "no way".
I always say, box stores can be good places to buy some things if you already know what you need. If you need any help or advice, you're in the wrong place.

a great one for ya from hd...I am an electrician and I was buying 30 feet of 3/0 copper wire for a service entrance. The price was 2.89/ft so roughly 90 dollars for wire. I get my reciept and guess what...I only got charged 2.89. HD is losing lots of money by not properly training their employees...their own fault.

Ok, no joke, last year I was buying some molding, priced by the foot, I was buying the whole 16 footer, but I wanted to cut it in half for transport. I had to find an employee because the "cut it yourself" table had no saws there. Remembering the guy on the news who got thrown out for life for taking a pencil, I decided NOT to take a saw off the shelf. I asked the guy a couple aisles over to get a saw for the table and he responded by telling me it would be a mistake to cut the wood, because they would charge me for each piece. I said, this is priced per foot sir, He says "I know, if you cut it, its more convenient, but you pay per foot x 2".

I'm dead serious, I couldn't even argue w/ it. I said, "thanks, I'll take my chances."

The rule of thumb I find is : As a DIYers, you don't ask HD staff for tricky questions or questions with a bit challenge.... they can answer very basic 1,2,3 questions though, but then why would you need to ask them for those questions... so the bottom line, you don't ask them anything normally... If you ask them challenge questions, you can end up get wrong answers and your project will be ruined... this is not 100% like that, but be fair, got more than 50% like that, why take the risk...
