What's the deal with this ice maker box?

I ordered an Oatey I2K Ice Maker Box (pictured) for my CPVC system. I'm going to use a 1/2" FPT transition adapter to connect to the threads on the bottom of the valve. The box makes note that this valve is for copper sweat connections even though it has male threads...? Not to sound stupid, but I CAN connect this box in the fashion I intend - with the transition adapter - correct?

YES, the valve has male threads on the end, but you can also solder 1/2" copper inside the male threads. The choice is yours.
