What's the deal with finding 1" PEX?

How come I can find fittings for 1" PEX everywhere, but can't find tubing anywhere?

I need about 10' of O2 barrier PEX for completing my hydronic system... I can't find it anywhere- I have to drop ~$100 for 100ft.

Anyone know where I can get a short tube????

Thanks,

Gabe

Go to a real plumbing supply house, they will cut what you need.

I've called 6 different plumbing supply companies, including a "boiler supply" company, and no one even knows what an O2 barrier even is. This is very frustrating.

Does anyone know of a way to convert regular PEX into O2 barrier PEX? Can I just wrap the tube in Saran Wrap or something? Isn't the point just to make it air-tight?????

Why not use copper for the short section?
