What is PEX-a tubing and can I use Push-N-Turn with it?

Quick question requiring a quick answer:

What is PEX-a tubing (it's semi-clear / translucent / milky-white in colour) ?? Also, can I use the Push-N-Turn (solderless, non-compression) connections with it? The PEX-a seems slightly softer and more flexible than the newer PEX on the market (the grey stuff), so I wasn't sure the non-compression "twist-on" connecitons would work, even though they state they work with PB, PEX, Pulybutelyne, and plastic tubing.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Cheers.
Eric

Thanks. We ended up renting a crimping tool and using crimp connections. Best $8 ever spent on a tool rental
