What do with plumbing problems

It seems like everything under the sun has gone wrong with the plumbing in our home and of course we don't have the money to call in a plumber. Our sewage and water is backing up into our basement and toilet downstairs. We have tried liquid plumber, a 50 ft snake and a 100 ft snake and haven't been able to fix it. Could we have a sewage pump station at our house and what do we do I that us the problem?

Liquid plumber will not fix a sewer backup.. maybe start with you homeowner insurance company. Depending on what they will cover may offer some payment relief in case a plumbing outfit is required

And do you have a septic? And or clean out?

First thing I would do is call the city. 9/10 times there is a cleanout installed at the property line. They can confirm whether there is a blockage on their side of the line. If not, then it gets fun.

Clarify what you mean by pump station at your house? If your sewage was pumped, you would know it.

There should be a clean out opening near or at the place that the sewer leaves the house heading to the street.

I you are lucky there may be one outside in line with the main sewer---That is where you need to snake from---often tree roots---a belly (low spot in the pipe) --or something else has clogged the line to the street--Use a big snake that can cut away roots----

You ran a snake right? How big, what knives where on it, did the cable come back clean or sludgy? Any roots attached? How far to your city sewer from your house? I assume your not on septic if you ran a 100ft of cable?
