What is this?

This appears to be a small tube on the right coming off my cold water line near where the water comes into the house (~8').

The line then runs the length of the house and terminates in a big loop at the other end of the house near the furnace.

Thanks In advance

cute. but I don't think I will rely on it for my next cocktail party.

Likely a water line for an old humidifier.

Huh? Is there a refrigerator close to where it ends? If so it may the be supply line for the ice maker.

possibly a humidifier water line

Since it terminates near the furnace it would be ana waterline for a humidifier. Ice maker lines are the same size, but unless the beer 'fridge was nearby......although having the beer fridge near the furnace is just plain wrong.

sorry, I thought you were joking..Its runs about 25' through my unfinished basement, near floor joists, and terminates very close to the furnace.

Its probably a water line to feed a furnace mounted humidifier, Obviously now defunct.
