What I like about the separate controls is you can get the water set to a perfect temp, then cut way down on the pressure while you're shaving your legs (wife) or shaving your head (me). With the one handle thing, it just seems like any attempt to adjust the pressure also takes the temp with it.

So in some areas, you can't install a faucet that has separate temperature and pressure controls???

They were referring to a single handle temperature control vs. 2 handles for hot and cold.

I picked up a handheld shower head (forget the brand) at Costco that has a flow control built into the handle. I had to remove the flow restrictor to get decent pressure, but the flow control is much more adjustable than the push/pull single handle in the wall and still lets you drop the flow to practically nothing.
