Wet bar project

I am in the process of putting a wet bar together in our basement, actually more of a kitchen minus a stove/oven.

I intend on having a single basin sink. I have existing water lines in the ceiling directly above where the sink will be placed. I'm pretty confident in running the necessary hot and cold lines.

My question pertains to the drain. I have a vertical drain stack that is running into the concrete floor approximately 30" from the new sink. Can I simply run a PVC pipe to this drain and tie into it? Assuming I provide some type of pitch.

According to my code book, if that vertical drain is the maindrain then yes. It will also serve as the vent.

Thank you very much Ron. I appreciate the help. Please don't take it for granted, I'm sure you have helped more people than you realize. Speaking for myself you have been help, simply by reading several of your posts. Thanks again.
