Well Water test kit
My well water has always smelled like sulfur from time to time but it has had strong smell for at least a month now and seems to be getting worse and worse. What can I do to troubleshoot for the issue? I would like to test the water for anything harmful anyways if someone can recommend a good test kit. What is typically done to get rid of the smell? I don't think the water heater is the issue because the water smells just as bad on the cold side.

Well Water test kit
There are test kits available, but most people simply take a water sample to the local testing laboratory (look up on line for closest laboratory), get the water tested for whatever you want. Obviously in your case you would want sulfur test, but you probably also want iron and manganese test, and bacteria, and hardness.
