I have owned a water system for 25 years. The system I am concerned with is at a friends house. I have no pictures to provide.
His system consist of a submerged pump in well, controlled by a pressure switch and new air tank. No issue with this side of the system. Coming off the air tank is a air injection system that removes sulfur smell from the water and thru a check valve then into the big vertical fiberglass pressurized tank. Pressurized by the well pump.
Now everything is fine up to here. Now on the other side of the big vertical tank is the house pump. It provides pressurized water to the house.
The house pump gets its (on and off) pressures from the big tank.
He has burned up two pumps in the last year or so.
So in theory his house pump could come on and not have any place to send the water if the huge tanks (pressures controlled by the well pump)dropped below his on and off settings of the house pump.
I have never seen a house pump that controls its on and off from the water source rather then the pressure house side of the pump.
This guy has little money to play with. He knows he needs a new house pump
to replace the one burned up.
I have some ideas but need to discuss them
