I would like a sink of some sort in an outbuilding I have for hand washing and such. The site is very sandy. I was thinking about driving a well-point in through the basement floor to give me a low usage drain and let any rain water that gets in to drain. there is currently no sort of drain at all.
any other ideas short of connecting back to the home drain or putting in a full blown septic system?
my parents live in mi and my dad wanted a drain in basement to drain water from a.c. and high amount of leaking block walls. he asked me to bring hammer drill up next time i visited and he had me drill a series of holes to make a 5 " hole. he then took a turn style post hole digger and turned it done till handle hit floor so about 5' deep. then slid in to hole a piece of schedule 30 perforated drain pipe then filled pipe with a few bags of pea gravel and then dumped 15 gallons of water down it and he never got the water to make a puddle on the floor.
that was probably 8 years ago and he still uses it to empty dehumidifier,ac, and other water
and i thought ohio was where the hillbillies were

p.s. not all i say is a fact but not all i say is my opinion.
