Weird shower head leaking problem

Hi guys,
About 1 month ago, I replaced a valve to fix a shower head leakage. It all looked fine. Recently I began to notice the shower head started to leak again. But only under certain condition:
On the other side of the wall (from this leaking shower head) is another bathroom. After the other bathroom's shower head is being used, it causes this shower head to leak (or drip). And weird thing is, if I now turn it on and let the water run for a few seconds and turn it off, it will stop the leak.
This happens everyday now. When it leaks, I need to turn it on and off to stop the leak.
I have two questions here:
1. why would the shower head in another bathroom cause the leak?
2. why is that turn it on and off stops the leak?
Can someone please help me out?
Thanks a million and Happy Holidays!

First, I'm not a pro plumber, just an old DIYer with about 14,000-15,000 posts on various DIY websites over the years. That by no means makes me an expert at anything except that I can type on a computer, but so can my monkey.
However, my best guess as to your problem...the new valve has some type of plumber's grease on internal parts that was applied at the factory.
The variable water pressure created by the use of the nearby shower valve may be causing the "leaking" new valve to open slightly as the water pressure fluctuates.
The solution, if this is the case, is to check and clean out the internal parts of the new shower valve, especially its on-off valve (flushing it with really hot water should do it).
Try that. If that doesn't work, I'll send the monkey. Good luck!
Merry Christmas!

My real estate business is way over in the northeast, so I can't help your son much with any advice about real estate there.
Wilson is over near I-95 west of us. Zebulon is at the confluence of US Hwy 64 and US Hwy 264 about 2/3 the way toward Raleigh from Wilson and I-95. My county is in the opposite direction on US Hwy 64 about half-way between I-95 and the beach (aka the northern NC Outer Banks...Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, etc.).
It would seem to me, that the closer he got to Raleigh (as in Zebulon), the higher the real estate would be. I'll tell you one thing, the way prices and interest rates are right now though, he can't go wrong buying real estate. The market is flooded with great homes with major price discounts. Just tell him to have everything inspected (licensed pest control operator inspection and a licensed General Home Inspection of all the structural and mechanical systems).

The monkey is on the way to Netcong NJ. He's a little crazy so he always insists on bringing all those dogs. However, he has won many a "Plumbing Slop" award, so I'm sure that he can help you dismantle everything. They don't drink much booze, but they all like to sleep on the beds. Hope your wife "don't mind". LOL
