wax rings

Replacing the wall hung toilet in my new bathroom. The old toilet had what looked like an O-ring made of some kind of foam. Will a wax ring work on the new one or will I have to buy a special O-ring?

Thanks

DO NOT use a wax ring. You need the neoprene/foam type.

This house has been a real pain. One bathroom has a wall hung toilet and the other has a corner toilet.
