Our pressure switch turns on and off consistently when water is running.. we replaced pressure switch and did not fix it....so i read our pressure tank should has 2 psi...so i press in the shreader valve on the tank...no air comes out or water...so we try to put air into the tank and it wont go in or something because after we try still no air when i press in the shreader valve....what to do..please help
Turn off the water pump. Open a cold water faucet.
Now slowly pump air into the schrader valve, preferably with a gauge attached at the same time. You should observe water coming out of the faucet for the first minute or so as you pump in the iar.
Pressurize the tank to about 5 psi (more if the instructions say so) while the faucet is still open.
Now close the schrader valve and faucet(s) and turn the water pump back on.
The significance of having a gauge connected at the same tim as the air pump and adding air slowly is that you must not allow the pressure to go more than a few pounds above the desired value and this slight overage should not last more than a few seconds.
When cleaning anything including baby diapers, it is better to sweep off or scrape off as much solid and semisolid material as you can first. (1) Less cleaning fluid or detergent needs to be used, (2) Less of a mushy mess which in turn means that bleaches or disinfectants will be more effective.
